If I had my way, the only way I'd die is in a terrible barfight against someone twice my size. ~ Me

So, I guess everyone's looking at my gallery and wondering if three or four people contribute to it. Nope, it's all me. I have a broad array of stuff I like to do. I like working with my hands. If that means drawing, sewing, welding, cleaning a firearm... whatever. Sounds good to me.

Art/Career Background:
My arting started pretty much as soon as I was holding a pencil; my mom and dad would give me a napkin and a ballpoint pen to keep me quiet at restaurants. My mom also taught me how to sew, crochet, cross-stitch, batik, sculpt, paint... I think that's about it. My dad taught me how to work on cars, operate firearms, and handle my money right.

I've got an Associate's in Computer Animation. I learned a lot about art in college, but I can't really say it was worth the money. I freelanced for about a year until I worked myself out of a job (i.e. I did enough to increase their business enough that they were able to pay to outsource my job). So I worked at Wal-Mart for awhile. And then realized I needed to make a living and stop leeching off my parents. So I joined the U.S. Navy in 2006, and now I make arts whenever and however the hell I want.

In case you give a shit section:
I love the hell out of my job. Seriously, there is nothing more fun than working with people who are as much your brothers/sisters/extended-family-with-firearms. I'm a meathead and a knuckle-dragging savage. Acting civilized is incredibly difficult for me.

I'm terrible about getting my routine broken, but I love lifting weights.

I don't really ever manage to keep up with comics, but I love X-Men, Spiderman, Ironman... probably some others I can't think of from Marvel.

I love videogames, but I play them less and less. I think there's less and less out there with any substance (read: storyline and character development) these days. I like RPGs, fighters, strategy, some platformers, and survival horror games. I also like puzzle games, but they usually kick my ass before I can ever finish them because I'm too right-brained to manage that much logic.

I don't watch much in the way of TV/movies since I have a hard time sitting still. If I do see a movie, it's usually because one of my friends drags me to it or won't leave me alone until I watch it.

I like a shit ton of different kinds of music. My collection currently exceeds 2.5 days of playing time. I spend entirely too much on sound equipment. All completely ironic, because I can't play any instruments and couldn't sing on key to save my life.

I have an unhealthy addiction to Things in Power Armor. No, that's not a title. It's just significant enough that it should be capitalized.
Interests
No one tagged me on this, but I was bored and stole it from :iconpaejunho:

Rules :
1.You must post these rules.
2.Each person must post 11 Facts about themselves in their journal.
3. Then Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4.You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5.Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6.No tag backs.
7.No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

~ 11 Facts about me:

1)  I'm allergic to metal of pretty much every kind (stainless, gold, silver, titanium) and therefore cannot have body piercings.

2) I am currently in love with the color orange

3) And also Ellen Degeneres (I probably misspelled her last name... It's cool. When we get married, she's taking my name.)

4) I trained in Okinawan Goju-ryu karate for about 8 years.

5) I am a terminal smart-ass.

6) I've been sprouting gray hairs (in increasing amounts) since I was 14

7) If I could do whatever I wanted for a living, I'd be a screen actor.

8) I lived in a warzone for 9 months.

9) I have no aspirations to be considered refined or civilized.

10) I have an obsession with backpacks, on a level with many women's obsession with shoes.

11) I once had a hamster, an iguana, two goats, three horses, four rabbits, a dog, two parakeets and two cats. I now have only one dog.

~ I was asked:
1) Do you speak any languages other than English?

Korean

2) How old are you?

29

3) What's the earliest memory you have involving your art?

Being handed a napkin and ballpoint pen to keep me occupied while my parents waited for food at Golden Corral. I was three.

4) Most embarrassing moment?

You know, I've been embarrassed a few times, but nothing so catastrophic that anything in particular springs to mind. Maybe if I had a more acute sense of shame...

5) Do you collect anything?

Hyenas and Angry Birds

6) What's your favorite band?

I go through phases. Currently hooked on Chevelle.

7) Who would win in a fight, you or me?

I would. Or die trying and take parts of you with me.

8) What's your favorite video game of all time?

Xenogears

9) What is something you're embarrassed to have spent money on?

a ticket to see that last Street Fighter movie with Chun Lee

10) Strangest thing you've ever eaten?

fried silkworm larva (beondaegi/번대기... or something like that)

11) Do you have any tattoos? Where? Of what?

I have two hyenas tattooed on my chest in a vaguely Pazyryk-esque style

~ Questions I am asking people:

1) What's the craziest thing you've ever done with your personal appearance?
2) What's the weirdest thing your body has ever done?
3) If you could be a were-thing, what animal would you choose?
4) Ever flashed/mooned anyone?
5) What's your favorite weird food combination?
6) Who's your favorite superhero (or fictional character, if not into superheros)?
7) If you had to give up one of your senses, which one and why?
8) If you could do anything for a living, what would it be?
9) If you had an endless supply of money (and therefore didn't need to work) what would you do (DO, not buy)?
10) What's the worst movie you've seen in a theatre and why?
11) What would you do for a Klondike bar?

And I'm not going to tag anyone. Because fuck the rules.

~`~
In that case, I will have to kill them with my teeth. ~ Hyenism

Hey! Do you follow the CritterJam group? If not, you might be excited to know that June's animal to draw is the brown hyena! Maybe not quite as cool as the spotted variety, but perhaps you'd like to get involved :)

Thanks for the tip-off! I'd probably give it a shot, but sadly my Wacom is currently about 8,000 miles from me. :( But it sounds like a fun group. I may have tojoin once I get settled stateside again :D

There's always traditional medium. Of course you may need a scanner :P

Are you looking to stay in the states when you get back or do you want to go abroad somewhere else? I'm currently talking to a recruiter about finding a job in Korea. Eventually I would like to move somewhere else, but I think this will be good experience living abroad.

Sadly, no decent scanner here. ;.; Korea's a good startoff point. :) I know a lot of people who taught English in Japan, too, and really liked it.

For me, I'm going to be Stateside for at least a year to learn Persian Farsi, then I'll either be in Georgia or Bahrain (crazy opposite options, no? lol).

Thanks for the fave. It was fun flipping through your animal's folder to see what other goodies you've found.
