Vlad was pretty sure that "babysitting" wasn't anywhere in his work description. He was also pretty sure that he was going to scream if he got set on fire one more time. (Contrary to popular belief, hell stallions don't like being set on fire. In fact, they're rather fond of air conditioning. Which is why it's revoltingly expensive to get one to stand outside and protect your home. I hear it's worth it, though.)

It's difficult to be an intimidating, macho, hellish underworld stallion when your sister leaves your cute little nieces and nephews to frolic around your feet.

I did this mostly because I wanted to draw big, feathery horse hooves. I also wanted to draw an expression like Vlad's, 'cause that expression always makes me giggle. The fact that I was frequently left to babysit my niece/nephews so that my father could play "good granddad" was probably also a subconscious contributing factor. And he wonders why I don't want kids... :\
